Our teachers are chosen for their unique ability to bring out children’s musicality. Different musical styles taught include pop, rock and jazz. Our 70+ teachers teach in homes, schools and nursery settings. Every teacher is interviewed with references and DBS applications checked.​

From Switzerland, I am a guitarist and teacher. I studied for a BA Hons in London in 2010 and began teaching for Music House for Children in 2012. I believe that every person is different and learns in their own way to which I adjust using a range of visual and/or auditory mediums, transmitting knowledge through theory and games.

I am a Greek living in England. With a Masters in Performance and Teaching, one of my favourite things is exploring music with young pupils of early years and primary ages. I am an ensemble violinist who loves singing and cooking!

Aram Bahmaie
Guitar/ Electric Bass / Double Bass

Musician and teacher, originally from Guildford. Having started learning the guitar from a young age, he soon branched out to explore other stringed instruments, landing, finally, on the electric bass and the double bass.

Boyang Gao is a piano teacher, ballet pianist and piano accompanist with a strong educational and vocational background. Boyang holds BMus(Hons) in piano performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, MMus Piano Accompaniment and MMus Piano for Dance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

I started playing professionally at the age of 16, gigging all around Greece before relocating to London 15 years ago to study at London College of Music and Media under great tutors such as: Paul Elliot, Pete Cater, Darryn Farugia and Bosco Di'Oliviera.

Emilija Karaliute

I have recently graduated with a first-class degree in Music in 2021 and have been teaching piano for almost 4 years now. I also hold a Kaunas Juozas Gruodis music conservatoire diploma which I gained back in my country Lithuania. In September 2021 I joined the Music House for Children team, and I am very excited to be among all these talented and inspiring musicians.

I am a music educator from Hong Kong, with a focus on teaching children and pupils with special educational needs.  

I hold an MA in Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Therapy at The University of Melbourne.

Felix Essex
Guitar

Felix began playing guitar at the age of 9 and worked his way to grade 8 on the Trinity and ABRSM classical exam boards during his time in education. Since then he has gone on to study music technology and composition at the University of the West of England (BSc Creative Music Technology) in which he graduated with a first. 

 

Felix has played both guitar and bass for various bands from the age of 14 and has toured as a session musician for the artist Oscar Lang on the label Dirty Hit. He is also proud to be working as a guitar teacher and has a passion for providing children a chance to find a creative outlet in music.

I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham where I studied music for three years. I began my career as an early years music educator at the Music House for Children and now a full time member of the office. I run Piano Appreciation on Thursday and Violin on Friday.

Jade Wing-yi Cheung

Jade began her music learning at the age of 7 and completed her studies in Music Performance (Royal College of Music), Counselling (Monash University), and Equine Facilitated Learning (LEAP). Jade has dedicated her career to teaching, performance, and counselling in the past 15 years. She has a huge passion for working with learners with neurodiversity, and learners of all abilities and ages.

Josie Campbell
Early Years Teacher | Cello 

Josie has a passion for advocacy and highlighting Black voices within the classical music community. She focuses on performing works by Black composers and advocating for their place in the classical canon. Josie began studying cello at the age of eleven in her hometown of Kennesaw, Georgia with Sarah Paul. She has previously studied with Wesley Baldwin, Michael Haber, and Charae Krueger. Josie is a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where she received her Master of Arts in Cello Performance on a full scholarship under Felix Schmidt as a 2021 Marshall Scholar. She is also a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where she earned her BM in Cello Performance with a minor in Africana Studies. In addition to her studies, Josie is an avid freelance cellist that engages in orchestral, session, and musical theatre work. She has performed at the BBC Proms and toured alongside the Chineke! Orchestra, Firebird Orchestra, and the Brixton Chamber Orchestra. Josie is currently an Open Academy Fellow, where she engages in community music work around London and a 2023 Developing Musician with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra Scheme.

I was born in Greece and studied at the RNCM, Manchester and RCM, London. I teacher piano and musical theory to advance/diploma level, specialising in piano technique and virtuosity.

Recently graduated from the University of Southampton with a first class degree in Music, I spent a year classroom teaching Music in Secondary school and am now a full time masters student studying Music Therapy at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. My main instruments are piano and double bass, looking at both jazz and classical music.
