Developing early communication and language through music making

What?

If you work with young children, would you like to develop communication and language? Would you love musical ideas to embed communicative skills without pressure? Have you thought about immersing musical ideas throughout your children’s routine day to nurture vocalising? How about strengthening communicative skills in children with language delay and other needs? In this special twilight course participants will gain action packed, fun, musical ideas using visuals, instrumental play and of course, your voice! NO music training required.

Who?

Ideal for those working with children with language delay in the early years sector, and those working with children with English as an additional language.

• Introduce early vocalising through imaginative musical games and sound play

• Nurture early vocalisation, through musical snippets anytime

• Engage children in well-loved stories through music, encouraging child-initiated responses.

All participants will receive an illustrative music teaching book (worth £20), downloadable resources and a wealth of useful and up-to-date information guiding participants in music making and language development.

Led by Emma Hutchinson MA and Founder, Music House for Children.
